At the moment, digitalization is the key to many transformations in all aspects of our lives. Digitalization is the new connectivity of citizens, policy makers and societies. While it offers unlimited potential to create more value for businesses, it can also pose risks if not done carefully.
Many issues have been addressed and discussed, mainly the economic and societal consequences of digitalization. However, important questions are emerging and contests are widening as the digital transformation continues.
But, in all of this, I would like to highlight an urgent issue and the most important aspect of all this boom: Who are the operators behind these machines? Who are the companies aiming their virtual or augmented reality gadgets at? Who is driving all this digital transformation? There are many great people from different cultures around the globe. I’m talking about supermen who took the time to examine our inner and outer nature. These great philosophers agreed that the current state of evolution is a result of our intellect. Our ability to see beyond what is expected in the physical world has been made possible by our intelligence. It has allowed us to move in many areas of thought from a materialistic perspective, such as what our senses experience as stimulation from the outside: subject and object. It is paradoxical that we continue to depend on devices, decreasing our natural abilities, and making us mentally lazy and slaves to those devices. Can anyone else explain how thoughts are formed? The exponential growth that defines the majority of our actual lives can help us understand this material phenomenon. Our senses and our way of being are limited by universal laws. Exponential growth opens up endless possibilities in graphics, virtual realities and holographic realities as well as astral realities. The more a computer’s processing speed increases, the more science fiction or fantasy-like devices or computers that result. The Central Processing Unit (or CPU) is the main component of a computer’s processor chips. The processor chip and the silicon chip are both small pieces of silicon. This little bit of silicon is equivalent to the brain of a computer. According to Moore’s Law (the rule of thumb in technology), the CPU’s speed doubles every 18 months. Computers will be 70 times faster in 2025 than they were in 2016, according to what we know. According to photonics (the technology that deals with the properties and transmissions of photons such as in fiber optics), the faster data comes out of fiber optic cables means more connectivity. This increases at more than twice the rate every nine months.
As an exercise analysis, changing customer expectation, cultural transformation, obsolete regulation, and identifying the right skills – these are just some of the many responsibilities. To unlock the significant benefits that digital technology offers society and industry, industry leaders and government officials must address these challenges. The machines increase efficiency and provide many tools to treat ailments, health issues, among other things. However, they also reduce our intellectual coefficient, which doesn’t allow us to use discernment nor analytical skills. It also distorts our personality, making us sometimes too ego-driven (The Internet of Me), and reducing our ability to see the whole picture of our lives.
